Types of Logistic Regression

1. Binary/ Binomial

In this case, a dependent variable will have only two possible types either 1 and 0.

Therefore, these variables may represent success/ failure, yes/no, win/lose

2. Multinomial

In this kind of classification, the dependent variable can have 3 or more possible unordered types.

e.g.:- Type A, Type B, Type C

3. Ordinal

In this kind of classification, the dependent variable can have 3 or more possible ordered types.

e.g:- “poor”, “good” or “very good”
