Quick Breakdown on Supervised Machine Learning
As you can see from the below GIF image that someone is there to train the machine at an early stage before allowing the machine to perform prediction by itself, this is Supervised Learning.
Supervised learning is like training a child to walk, you will hold the child’s hand and show him/her how to walk by doing some sort of walking demonstration until the child itself learns to walk on their own.
Under supervised learning, we have few types and the main two are Regression and Classification. Example use cases of Supervised Learning can be house price prediction (predicting the price of the house with respect to a variable which can be ‘time’ for an example), lung cancer classification (detecting if the person has cancer or not)
So, that's a quick breakdown of Supervised Learning, and on the next blog let’s understand unsupervised learning…or if you have any topic in mind which needs to be cleared please do drop it in the comments. 😊
